Bev's food and artistic career developed during his time growing up in the bush of Deans Marsh in the Otway ranges on Australia's South West coast.
He started his food career at 20 in Melbourne, Australia, landing his first head chef role at 24 - a 250 seat cafe that turned $4 million annually. It was here that he started to develop his management style and passion for food. What has followed in a subsequent 25 year career has been the management of major coastal resorts, function and wedding centres, universities, boutique healthcare facilities, restaurants and cafes.

Bev is a professionally trained Theatre professional specialising in acting, costume, set and makeup design. He worked extensively in theatre, television and film for 15 years performing in numerous theatre, television and films as well as being an active stage designer to over 30 productions.
As a family began, the art had to take a back seat, but unlike most disgruntled artists who must change he chose instead to channel that artistic vision into his cooking to which he had been co-habitating for that period.
Moving back into full production in 2007, his production company MERLWYND CREATIVE has produced over 200 original youtube videos, 5 short films, 2 nine part 'FOOD TO EAT" series and his latest pilot 'TALES OF A BENEVOLENT CHEF' along with a book of the same time.
